Sick Night, Lost A Lot of Money

After losing with AA vs AK (guy made a flush with his ace of diamonds), picking up KK in the next hand (also all-in pre-flop) and getting beat by a donkey calling me down with 77 making QUADS — I went on quite the tilt-session…

I went on a painful rollercoaster losing about $12,000 in a matter of seven hours…

Painful, especially as that was most of my winning of last year.

I’m such an idiot… I might have a gambling addiction too — time to reflect…

Limping in with Aces… On the button!

Just cleaned out a donkey online and wanted to share the story because the guy played his hand so strangely, and he played it so weak considering the very deep stack sizes I just had to share…

Anyway, I’m under the gun with KJ and as it was a very passive table I decided to limp. Five players limped behind me and the blinds call/checked. Seven players in the hand — no raise.

The flop comes KK4 rainbow. Excellent flop for me obviously and I bet out 70% of the pot in third position assuming SOMEONE will have a pocket pair or a 4 to give me some action. I get called by 3 players.

The turn brings a Jack, giving me the nuts. I check to make them think I may have been stealing on the flop and one guy behind me bets. Button moves all-in right away, I just call, and get a call behind me. The river is a ten. I move all-in and get called by K-10, cold deck for him. Button shows aces.

Slowplaying aces and then paying off with SEVEN players in (chances someone has a king are huge). BADBADBADpoker.

Quitting poker

No, I’m not REALLY quitting poker — but sometimes, I feel like I should. I’m having an extremely bad week, and it feels like at this point there is no justice what so ever in the game of poker. I’ve been playing 7 Card Stud for the past week, and I’ve been murdered by river cards constantly. A perfect example is the hand where I have a full house by fifth street, improve my boat on sixth, and my opponent beats me with quads on a miracle river 6.

My K’s over J’s came in short, and I had a sick feeling when I clicked the call button too.

Not like I was going to lay K’s over J’s down — but DAMN that sucked.

I’m taking a breat, that’s FOR SURE.
